AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
APPROPRIATING $ 10,000.00 FROM THE
RECREATION NON-REVERTING FUND (FUND N0.203)

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
The Recreation Non-Reverting Fund (Fund No. 203) was established for the purpose of
funding improvements to various recreational programs that are included in this fund.
One of these is the softball program. A plan has been set forth to budget $10,000.00 from the
Recreation Non-Reverting Fund for the purchase of two twenty by twenty tents for use during
softball tournaments at Belleville Softball Complex. The Common Council has determined it is
in the best interest of the City of South Bend to appropriate sufficient funds from the Recreation
Non-Reverting Fund to allow this purchase to be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. The following sum of money is hereby appropriated and ordered set apart
from and within the Recreation Non-Reverting Fund (Fund No. 203) for the purchase of two
twenty by twenty tents for the Belleville Softball Complex.

Section II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the

Dear Council Members:
This ordinance, appropriating $10,000.00 from the Recreation Non-Reverting
Fund, is being submitted to the Common Council for consideration and approval.
The improvement described in this ordinance is part of an ongoing process to
maintain a first class facility for players and fans at Belleville Softball Complex.
This appropriation is being made from funds generated from softball revenues.
Appropriated funds would be used to purchase two twenty by twenty tents for use
during softball tournaments.
