A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
APPROVING THE PROPOSED SALE OF BLACKTHORN GOLF COURSE TO
ACQUISITION GROUP LLC
WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Authority (the "Authority ") has
been created pursuant to I.C. 36 -7 -14.5 (the "Act ") as a separate body, corporate and
politic, and as an instrumentality of the City of South Bend, Indiana (the "City "); and
WHEREAS, the Authority is a party to that certain Agreement Among The
South Bend Redevelopment Authority, The South Bend Redevelopment Commission
And The St. Joseph County Airport Authority For The Operation And Management Of
Blackthorn Golf Course, dated October 8, 1992 (the "Management Agreement "); and
WHEREAS, the Management Agreement provides that the sale or other
disposition of Blackthorn Golf Course ( "Blackthorn ") requires the affirmative vote of
two - thirds of the Authority, among other requirements; and
WHEREAS, Acquisition Group LLC submitted a conforming bid for the
purchase of Blackthorn; and
WHEREAS, the Authority approves and recommends the sale of Blackthorn to
Acquisition Group LLC.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Authority as follows:
The Authority hereby approves and recommends the sale of Blackthorn to
Acquisition Group LLC, on the terms and conditions proposed.
2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect after its adoption.
ADOPTED by the South Bend Redevelopment Authority at its meeting held on
December 17, 2014, at 1308 County -City Building, 227 West Jefferson Boulevard, South
Bend, Indiana 46601.
