City Clerk M RESOLUTION NO. 3 Z- S S — 03 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE FOR THE WEED & SEED PROGRAM WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Justice has developed a funding mechanism called the Weed & Seed program for local governments to seek resources for various programming within targeted neighborhoods; and WHEREAS, the City of South Bend desires to deliver such eligible services to individuals within three neighborhoods within our community through the U.S. Department of Justice's Weed & Seed Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana as follows: Section I. The City's application to the U.S. Department of Justice for its Weed & Seed Program is hereby authorized with full support of the South Bend Common Council. Section II. The Mayor of South Bend is authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary to secure the program funding described above. Section III. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council and approved by the Mayor.
