A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA, COMMENDING SANDRA M.PARMERLEE FOR HER
1 bVVeais, the South Bend Common Council acknowledges that approximately nine years
ago Sandra M. Parmerlee began working in the Office of the City Clerk, and
'D bgrVIA the Common Council notes that Sandy's prior experiences of working in the
City Attorney's Office, being the Clerk to the Board of Public Works and being the Clerk to
the Board of Safety enabled her to bring a wealth of knowledge to her position when she began
working in the Office of the City Clerk; and
V btr$H0, the Council further acknowledges that in March of 1999, Sandra M. Parmerlee
was promoted to be the Chief Deputy Clerk whose duties encompass among other things
developing procedures which assure the accuracy of the legislative records of the South Bend
Common Council, preparing Committee meeting notices, attending the Council meetings -and
preparing minutes of the regular and special meetings of the South Bend Common Council.

Section I. On behalf of all of the citizens of South Bend, Indiana, the Common Council
hereby publicly honors the CHIEF DEPUTY CLERK SANDRA M. PARMERLEE for nine (9)
dedicated years of service in the Office of the City Clerk.
Section II. The Common Council commends SANDRA M. PARMERLEE for her service
to others through her home church, and hopes that she will continue to keep in touch with the
many friends which she has made over the years due to her many years of service of working
in the County -City Building; and further wishes her and her friends in the Red Hat Club many
great and fun -times together in the years ahead.
Section III. The South Bend Common Council further wishes Sandy and her daughter,
Sara, the very best in the years ahead and wishes them both many fulfilling and memorable
times together as they each venture out into new and challenging endeavors.
Section IV. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by
the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.
