MENTS OF THE MUNICIPAL CIVIL CIi' OF SOUTH L'EI'TD,
INDIANA FIXING THE SALARIES 'THEREOF, AND .APPROPRIA-
TING FROM TIC GENERAL FUND OF THE CIT? OF SOUTH BEND
INDIATTA, THE SUI_r OF SIX THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED FIFTY
TWO DOLLARS AND NINETY CENTS ($61852.90) TO DIVERS
ACCOUNTS OF ME 1950 BUDGET, AND DECLARING AN EXTRA-
ORDINARY EIERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAIA]ED by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana:
Section 1. That the appointment of three addi-
tional Inspectors in the following departments, to -wit:
Engineering, Building, and Health, and an additional
assistant Superintendent in the Electrical Department,
and a Clerk in the Building Department, be, and the
same is hereby authorized.
Section 2. That the annual salaries of said
additional Inspectors, of said assistant Superintendent
and of said Clerk shall be as follows:
Engineering Department: Inspector 33,194.40
Building Department: Electrical
Building Department: Clerkpector 821874.96

Health Department: Plumbing
Inspector W3, 115.00
which salaries shall be paid at such times as other
salaries are paid.
Section 3. That there be and there is hereby
appropriated from the General Fund of tre City of
South Bend, Indiana, for the uses and purposes of
the following indicated accounts of the 1950 budget,
to -wit:

M -215 Transportation .Allowance 300.00
Electrical Department
V -11 Services Personal $1,526.00

Section 4. That the above sums of money are
required for the proper and efficient operation and
function of the aforementioned Departments of the
Government of the City of South Bend, Indiana, and
an extraordinary emergency is hereby declared to
exist concerning the appointment of said additional
personnel and of the foregoing appropriations.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage
by the Common Council, its approval by the Mayor,
and the fulfilment of all statutory requirements
relating to extraordinary emergency appropriations.
