AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING AN
AGREEMENT MADE AND ENTERED INTO ON OCTOBER
16, 1950, BY AND BETIWEEN THE BOARD OF COM-
MISSIONERS OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA,
AND THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, BY AND
THROUGH ITS BOARD OF PUBLIC -WORKS AND SAFETY,
CONCERNING THE TRANSFER OF TITLE TO THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, TO CERTAIN REAL ESTATE
THEREIN DESCRIBED.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend,
Indiana:
Section 1. That an Agreement made and entered into
on the 16th day of October, 1950, by and between the Board of
Commissioners of St. Joseph County, Indiana, and the City of
South Bend, Indiana, by and through its Board of Public -Works
and Safety, relative to the sale to the Civil City of South Bend,
Indiana, of the following described real estate situate in St.
Joseph County, Indiana:
Beginning on the East and blest center line
of Section 27, Township No._ 38 North, Range
3 East, a distance of one thousand four hundred
thirty and six tenths (1,430.6) feet East of
the blest Quarter (1/4) corner of said section,
thence North six hundred sixty (660) feet,
thence East six hundred (600) feet, thence
South six hundred sixty (660) feet, thence
blest six hundred (600) feet to the place of
beginning, containing nine and ninety -nine
hundredths (9.99) acres, more or less;
a copy of which Agreement is hereto attached and made a part
hereof, be, and the same hereby is, in all things confirmed,
ratified and approved.
Section 2. That the confirmation, ratification and
approval provided for in Section 1 of this Ordinance is given by
the Common Council at a special meeting called for said purpose
by ten days notice published one time in two newspapers of opposit
political views published in the City of South Bend, Indiana.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor.
