BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: Section 1. That the following item in the 1950 budget of the Municipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, in the department indicated in this Section be, and the same is hereby reduced in the amount herein below stated, to -wit: POLICE DEPARTMENT: P -11, Services Personal $ 1,700.00 Section 2. That the sum of One Thousand Seven Hundred Dollar (110700.00) be, and the same hereby is appropriated from the. General Fund of the Municipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, to, and is appropriated for the uses and purposes of the following budgetary items in the amounts and to the department set forth below in the budget for the year 1950, to -wit: POLICE DEPARTMENT: P -262, Medical, Surgical and Dental Service 700.00 P -341, Police Uniforms 1,000.00 Section 3. That, by virtue of the authority vested in the Municipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, by the provisions of Chapter 275, Section 8, of the 1949 Acts of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana, the sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) be, and the same hereby is appropriated from the General Fund of the Municipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, to, and is appropriated for the uses and purposes of the following budgetary item in the Office designated below in the budget for the year 1950, to- wit:. OFFICE OF CONTROLLER: B -54, Civil Defense $ 5,000.00 Section 4. That the sum of monies, enumerated in Sections 2 and 3 of this Ordinance, are required and necessary for the proper and efficient operation and function of the aforementioned Offices and Departments of the Government of the Municipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, and an extraordinary emergency is hereby declared to exist concerning the foregoing appropriations. Section 5.
