AN ORDINANCE REDUCING CERTAIN ITEMS IN THE 1951 SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA, CIVIL CITY BUDGET, AND APPROPRIATING
FROM THE GENERAL STREET AND TRAFFIC FUND OF SAID CITY
THE SUM OF ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED ($19400.00) DOLLARS,
TO CERTAIN OTHER BUDGETARY ITEM OF THE 1951 BUDGET OF
THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND DECLARING AN
EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
Section 10 That the following items in the 1951 budget of the Civil City of
South Bend, Indiana, in the Department indicated in this Section, be, and the
same hereby are, reduced in the amounts herein below stated, to-wit-
TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT:
T -11 Salary of Assistant Traffic Engineer $ 700..00
T -261 Other Contractual Service $ 700.00
Section 2. That the sum of One Thousand Four Hundred ($1,400.00) Dollars be,
and the same is hereby, appropriated from the General Street and Traffic Fund of
the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, to, and is appropriated for the uses and
purposes of the following budgetary item in the amount and to the Department set
forth below in this Section, in the budget for the year 1951; to -wit:
TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT:
T -44 General Materials $1,400.00
Section 3. That the sum of money enumerated in Section 2 of this ordinance,
is required and necessary for the proper and efficient operation and function of
the aforementioned Department of the Government of the Civil City of South Bend,
Indiana, and an extraordinary emergency is hereby declared to exist concerning the
foregoing appropriation.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the Mayor, and the
fulfillment of all statutory requirements relating to extraordinary emergency
appropriations.
