AN ORDINANCE REDUCING CERTAIN ITEMS IN THE 1951
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, MUNICIPAL CIVIL CITY BUDGET
AND APPROPRIATING FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF SAID CITY
THE SUM OF FIVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED ($5,500.00)
DOLLARS, TO CERTAIN OTHER BUDGETARY ITEMS OF THE
1951 BUDGET OF SAID CITY, AND DECLARING AN EXTRA-
ORDINARY EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common 8ouneil of the City of South Bend,
Indiana:
Sect -Von 1. That the following items in the 1951 budget of
the Municipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, in the departments
indicated in this section, be, and the same hereby are, reduced
in the amounts herein below stated, to -wit:
POLICE DEPARTMENT:
P -11, Services Personal 11500.00
SEWER DEPARTMENT:
J-+58, Contingencies 21000.00
STREET DEPARTMENT:
S -53, Claims, Awards and Indemnities 2,000.00
Section 2. That the sum of Five Thousand Five Hundred
05,500,00) Dollars be, and the same hereby is appropriated from
the General Fund of the Municipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana,
to, and is appropriated for the uses and purposes of the following
budgetary items in the amounts and to departments set forth belows .

P -334, Other Garage and Motor Supplies 200000

STREET DEPARTMENT:

Section 3. That the sum of monies, enumerated in Section 2
of this Ordinance, are required and necessary for the proper and
efficient operation and function of the aforementioned departments
of the Government of the Municipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana,
and an extraordinary emergency is hereby declared to exist eoncernt
ing the foregoing appropriations.

Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Councilp its
approval by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory require-
ments relative to extraordinary emergency appropriations.
