AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING TWO AGREEMENTS ENTERED
INTO ON THE 4TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1951+ BY THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA, BY AND THROUGH ITS BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND
SAFETY, FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO TRACTS IN THE SOUTHWESTERN
SECTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND IN THE VICINITY OF PRAIRIE
AND EWING AVENUES FOR THE SUM OF FIVE THOUSAND ($5,000,00)
DOLLARS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indianas
Section 10 That the agreement made and entered into on the 4th day of August,
19512 by the City of South Bend, Indiana, by and through its Board of Public Works
and Safety, and John Nemeth and Rosalie, Nemeth, for the purchase by the City of
South Bend, Indiana, for the sum of Two Thousand Two Hundred Fifty ($29250900)
Dollars, the following described real estate situate in the City of South Bend in
St, Joseph County, Indiana, to -wits
A traot of land in South Bend in Section 22, Township 37
North, Range 2 East, Beginning at a point on the South
line of Ewing Avenue 200 feet East of the South East corner
of Ewing Avenue and Olive Street; thence South parallel
with the east line of Olive Street 135,03 feet to the
Northerly line of Prairie Avenue; thence North Easterly
on the Northerly line of Prairie Avenue 84.78 feet; thence
North 96.18 feet to the South line of Ewing Avenue; thence
West on the Southerly line of Ewing Avenue 75 feet to the
place of beginnings Containing approximately 8670,75
square feet;
AND
That the agreement made and entered into on the 4th day of August,
1951* by the City of South Bend, Indiana, by and through its Board of Public Works
and Safety, and Vinoze Nemeth and Helen Nemeth, for the purchase by the City of
South Bend, Indiana, for the sum of Two Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty ($29750,00)
Dollars, the following described real estate situate in the City of South Bend in
Ste Joseph County, Indiana, to«wits
A tract of land in South Bend in Section 22, Township 37
North, Range 2 East* Beginning at a point on the South
line of Ewing Avenue 275 feet East of the South East corner
of Ewing Avenue and Olive Street; thence East along the
South line of Ewing Avenue 185o68 feet to the intersection
of Ewing Avenue and Prairie Avenue; thence South Westerly
along the Northerly line of Prairie Avenue 209089 feet to
a point due South of beginning; thence North 96.18 feet
to the place of beginning• Containing approximately 8929035
square feet,
be, and the same hereby are in all things confirmed, ratified and approved*
Section 24 That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and opproval by the Mayor*
