ORDINANCE NO. 3
AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING THE NEW YORK CENTRAL RAILROAD
COMPANY TO PROVIDE A1V'D MAINTAIN AUTOMATIC FLASH LIGHT
SIGNALS AT THE GRADE CROSSING OF THE TRACKS OF SAID
RAILROAD WHERE THE SAME INTERSECT WITH WASHINGTON
STREET FOR THE .PROTECTION OF HUMAN LIFE, PROVIDING
FOR PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF, AND RE-
PEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
ION 1. That it shall be the duty of The New York Central
ad Company to install, maintain, operate and renew automatic
sh light signals at the crossing of Washington Street in the
