ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDnWCE REDUCING CERTAIN ITEMS IN THE 1951 SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA, MUNICIPAL CIVIL.CITY BUDGET, AND APPRO-
PRIATING FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF SAID CITY THE SUM OF
TWENTY -FOUR THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED ($24,300.00) DOLLARS,
TO CERTAIN OTHER BUDGETARY ITEMS OF.THE 1951 BUDGET OF
SAID CITY, AND DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORD&I ED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
Section 1. That the following items in the 1951 budget of the
Municipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, in the Departments indicated
in this section, be, and the same hereby are, reduced in the amounts
herein below stated, to -wit:
FIRE DEPARTMENT:
Q -11, Services Personal $182300.00
ELECTRICAL MW :
V -11, Services Personal $6,000.00
Section 2. That the sum of Twenty -four Thousand Three Hundred
($24,300.00) Dollars be, and the same hereby is appropriated from the
General Find of the Municipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, to,
and is appropriated for the uses and purposes of the following budget-
ary items in the amounts and to the Departments set forth below, in
this Section, in the budget for the year 1951, to -wit:

4-724, Motor Equipment
(Replacement of
1 - Chief's Car $2,500.00
1 - Inspector's Car 1,800.00)

Section 3. That the sum of monies, enumerated in Section 2 of
this Ordinance, are required and necessary for the proper and ef-
ficient operation and function of the aforementioned Departments of
the Government of the Municipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana,
and an extraordinary emergency is hereby declared to exist concerning
the foregoing appropriations.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the
Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements relative to
extraordinary emergency appropriations.
