AN ORDINANCE REDUCING CERTAIN ITEMS IN THE 1951
MUNICIPAL CIVIL CITY BUDGET OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA; AND APPROPRIATING FROM THE GENERAL
FUND OF SAID CITY THE SUM OF ONE THOUSAND SEVEN
HUNDRED($19700.00) DOLLARS TO CERTAIN OTHER BUDGETARY
ITEMS OF THE 1951 BUDGET OF SAID CITY, AND DECLARING
AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
Section 1. That the following items in the 1951 Budget of
the MuniApal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, in the Departments
indicated in this section, be, and the same hereby are reduand -in
the amounts herein below stated, to -wit:
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY:
DOG POUND:
K -334,, Other Garage and Motor Supplies 0 50.00
K -38, General Supplies 100.00
FIRE DEPARTMENT:
Q -111 Services, Personal 1,450.00
WEIGHTS AND MEASURES:
R -331, Gasoline 50000
R -38, General Supplies 50000
Section 20 That the sum of One 'Thousand Seven Hundred ($1,700000)
Dollars, be, and the same hereby is appropriated from the General Fund
of the Municipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, to, and is for
the uses and purposes of the following budgetary items in the amounts
and to the Departments set forth below, in this Section, in the Budget
for the year 1951, to -Jit;

Section 3, That the sum of monies, enumerated in Section 2 of
this Ordinance, are required and necessary for the proper and efficient
operation and function of the aforementioned Department of the Govern-
ment of the Mun &cipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana and an extra-
ordinary emergency is hereby declared to exist concerning the foregoing
appropriations.
Section 40 That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
fpm and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the
Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements relative to
extraordinary emergency appropriations.
