BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend,Indiana:
Section 1. That the following items in the 1952 budget for the Fire
Department and for the Cemetery Department of the Civil City of South Bend,
Indiana be, end the same hereby are, reduced in the amounts herein below
stated, to -wit:
EIRE DEPARTMRTT:
Services Personal
Q711 Reduction in services personal - - - - - - - - - - $20,000.00
CEMETERY DEPARTMENT-
N-261 Tree trimming - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 500.00
Total Reduction - - $20,500.00
Section 2. That the sum of $20,500 be, and the same is, hereby appro-
priated from the general fund of the Civil City of South Bend,Indiana to, and
is appropriated for, the uses and purposes of the following budgetary items in
the amounts and to the departments set forth below in tr_is section in the budg
for the year 1952, to-wit:

Section 3. That the sum of monies enumerated in section 2 of this
ordinance is required and necessary for the proper and efficient operation
and function of the aforementioned departments .I the Civil City of South
Bend, Indiana and an extraordinary emergency is hereby declared to exist con-
cerning said appropriations.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption by the Common Council of the Civil City of South Bend,
ndia.na, its approval by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory re-
uirements relative to extraordinary emergency appropriations.
