ORDINANCE NO. 3861
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF AN
AD -aITIONAL BARRETT LAW CLERK, FIXING THE SALARY
THEREOF AND APPROPRIATING FROM THE GENERAL FUND
OF THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,THE SUM
OF $1,800.00 FOR THE PAYMENT OF SAID SALARY AND
APPROPRIATING FROM THE GENERAL FUND THE SUM OF
$240.00 FOR CERTAIN BUDGETARY ITEMS OF THE 1952
BUDGET OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED, by the Common Council of the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION 1. That the appointment of an Additional Barrett Law Clerk in
the o Hike- o the City Treasurer is hereby authorized.
SECTION 2, That the salary of said additional Barrett Law Clerk shall
be $2,400.00 dollars per year, which salary shall bepaid at such times
as other salaries are paid.
SECTION 3o That there be, and there is, hereby appropriated from the
general fund of the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, for the uses and pur-
poses of the following budgetary items in the amounts and to the departments
set forth below in this Section in the Budget for the year 1952', to wit:

SERVICES* PERSONAL
D�-11 Salary of Barrett Law Clerk - - - -- - - - - -- $1,800.00
TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT':
T -11 Salary of Traffic Engineer --------------- $ 240.00
SECTION 4. That the sum of monies enumerated in Section 3 of this
Ordinance is required and necessary for the proper and efficient operation
and function of the aforementioned departments of the government of the Civil
City of South Bend, Indiana, and an extraordinary emergency is hereby decla
to exist concerning the appointment of an additional Barrett Law Clerk and
of the foregoing appropriations.
SECTION S. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption by the Common Council, its approval by the Mayor and
the fulfillment of all statutory requirements relating to extraordinary
emergency appropriations.
