AN ORDINANCE AUTWRIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN
DWELLING UNITS OWNED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the Civil City of South Bend,
Indiana:
SECTION I.
That the portable frame dwelling units consisting of thirteen
(13) three bedroom units and ten (10) two bedroom units now
located on the Plaza site of the South Bend Veterans Housing
Project, which site is bounded on the north by Monroe St., on
the west by Williams St., on the east by Lafayette Blvd, and
on the south by South St., be appraised and sold by the Board
of Public Works and Safety at public auction for not less than
the full appraisal value thereof.
SECTION II:
That the Judge of the St.Joseph Circuit Court be requested to
appoint three disinterested freeholders of the City of South
Bend, Indiana to appraise the dwelling units herein described.
SECTION III:
That the City of South Bend,Indiana, through its Board of
Public Works and Safety, and subject to such terms anti condi-
tions as said Board shall determine, shall sell, transfer and
deliver to any purchaser, or purchasers, thereof the dwelling
units herein described for not less than the full appraised
value thereof and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed
to execute and deliver to such purchaser, or purchasers, thereof
upon the payment of the purchase price in full, a good and
sufficient instrument of transfer of right, title and interest.
SECTION IV:
That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption by the Common Council and its approval by
the Mayor.
