AN ORDINANCE REDUCING A CERTAIN ITEM IN THE 1951 SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA, MUNICIPAL CIVIL CITY BUDGET AND APPROPRTSN'fNG
FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF SAID CITY THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED
(4200,00) DOLLARS, FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND DECLARING AN
EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
Section 1• That the following item in the 1951 budget of the Municipal
Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, in the Department indicated in this section,
be, and the same hereby is, r6duced in the amount herein below stated, to -wit:
FIRE DEPARTMENT:
Q «331, Gasoline $ 200.00
Section, 24 That the sum of Two Hundred ($200000) Dollars be, and the
same hereby is, appropriated from the General Fund of the Municipal Civil
City of South Bend, Indiana, to, and is appropriated for the uses and purposes
of the following budgetary item in the amount and to the department set forth
below, in this Section, in the budget for the year 1951, to•wit:
FIRE DEPARTMENT:
Q-222, Gas
$ 200000
Section 3. That the sum of moneys enumerated in Section 2 of this
Ordinance, is required and necessary for the proper and efficient operation
and function of the aforementioned department of the Government of the
Municipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, and an extraordinary emergency
is hereby deolared to exist concerning the foregoing appropriation*
Section 4* That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage by the Common Councils its approval by the Mayor, and
the fulfillment of all statutory requirements relative to extraordinary
emergency appropriations
