AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING MONIES FROM
S13 EXTRA AND OVERTIME TO Sll SALARY
OF ASSISTANT FOREMEN $622.40 AND
ESTABLISHING AN HOURLY RATE: FROM P11
POLICE DEPARTMENT SALARY TO P261
MECHANICAL ASSISTANCE $396.00, ALL OF
THE BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 1953 OF THE
CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I: The following monies be, and the same hereby are, transferred
from S13 Extra and Overtime to and are appropriated for Sll Salary of Assis-
tant Foremen $622.40 and there is hereby established an hourly rate for four
(4) foremen, 2,340 hours each at $1.64 per hour.
SECTION II: The sum of $396.00 is hereby transferred from Pll Salaries to,
and appropriated for, P261 Mechanical Assistance.
SECTION III: The above funds are required for the proper operation and
functioning of the aforementioned departments under the budget for the
year 1953 and an emergency is declared to exist concerning the foregoing
transfers and appropriations.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the Mayor and the fulfill-
ment of all statutory requirements relating to emergency appropriations.
