AN ORDINANCE REDUCING CERTAIN ITEMS IN THE 1952 BUDGET FOR
THE OFFICE OF MAYOR OF THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
IN THE AMOUNT OF $590 LM FOR THE ENGINEERING.DEPARTMENT IN
THE AMOUNT OF $1500 AND FOR THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT IN THE AMOUNT
OF $510.25 AND FOR THE STREET DEPARTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF
$1,000 AND FOR THE BOARD OF HEALTH IN THE AMOUNT OF $472.67
AND APPROPRIATING FROM TB]; GENERAL FUND OF SAID CITY TO TEE
BUDGETS FOR SAID DEPARTMENTS IN ;SAID AMOUNTS LM DECLARING
AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend,Indiana:
SECTION 1. That the following items in the 1952 budget for the office
of the Mayor, for the Engineering Department, for the Building Department,
for the Street Department, and for the Board of Health of the Civil City of
South Bend, Indiana be, and the same hereby are, reduced in the amounts herein
below stated, to -wit:

SECTION 2. That the sum of $4,072.92 be, and the same is, hereby appropriated
from the general fund of the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana to, and is
appropriated for, the uses and purposes of the following budgetary items in the
budget for the year 1952, to -wit:

SECTION 3. That the sum of monies enumerated in Section 2 of this Ordinance
is required and necessary for the proper and efficient operation and function

an extraordinary emergency is hereby declared to exist concerning said appro-
priations.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption by the Common Council of the Civil City of South Bend,
Indiana, its approval by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory re-
quirements relative to extraordinary emergency appropriations.
