AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO..3377`02`=
COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana:
Section I. Ordinance No. 3702, being the zoning
ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana, be, and the same
hereby is amended so that the zoning classification of the
following described real estate in the City of South Bend, St.
Joseph County, Indiana, towit:
A tract of land 90 feet in length east and west
taken off of and from the entire east end of the
south one -half of Lot Numbered Sixteen (16) as
shown on the recorded plat of J. G. Bartlettts First
Addition to the City of South Bend;
be, and the same is hereby changed from "C" Height and Area
District to 'IF" Height and Area District.
Section II. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, approved
by the Mayor, and Legal Publication.

to rezone a tract of land 90 feet in length east and west
taken off of and from the entire east end of the south

"C" 1 Commercial and "C" Height and Area District to "F"
Height and Area District.
Councilman Glass moved that the petition be referred to
the City Plan Commission• Councilman Hahn seconded the
motion. Motion carried.

The undersigned respectfully petition and show this
Honorable Body as follows:
1, petitioners own equally as tenants in common the
following described real estate in St.Joseph County, State of
Indiana, which is now zoned and classified under the zoning ordina
of the City of uouth Bend, being known as Ordinance No. 3702, as
amended, as "C -1" Commercial District and "C" Height and Area
District,':
A tract of land d'0 feet in length east and west
taken off of and from the entire east end of the
south one -half of Lot Numbered Sixteen (lt) as
shown on the recorded plat of J. G. Eartlett's First
Addition to the City of aouth Eend;
2. Petitioners desire to have the above described real
estate rezoned and reclassified by amendment of said zoning
ordinance from the above height and Area District classification
to "F" :eight and Area District classification.
3. Petitioner, Eernard L. Vodnoy, is now engaged, and has
been for several years last past, in the practice of optometry
in said City of south Lend, and petitioner, Daniel ,obert Lindborg,
is now engaged and has been for several years last past, in the
practice of dentistry in said city, both bein; duly licensed to
Lice their respective said professions,

In the event this petition is granted and said rezoning
permitted, petitioners intend to mahe the following use of said
real estate: khey propose to erect an office building thereon to
be used by them for the continuance of the practice of their respe -
tive .professions; it is the belief of petitioners that the rezonin>
herein proposed is in !;eepino with the trend of commercial and
professional development in the immediate area of the above de-
scribed real estate.
