Tg� 19§r4_— r Clerk ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE No. 3702 COMMONLY KNOWN AS "THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA." BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana: SECTION I. That Ordinance No. 3702 commonly known as "The Zoning Ordinance of South Bend, Indiana" be amended so that the same shall hereafter be and read as follows: SECTION 4 "B" Residence District In the "B" Residence District no building or premises shall be used and no building shall be erected, moved, structurally altered, or enlarged, which is intended or designed to be used in mole or in part other than for one or more of the following specified uses: (1) Any use permitted in the "A -1" Residence District. (2) Apartment houses, boarding and lodging houses. (3) Institutions of an educational, philanthropic or eleemosynary nature. (4) Nursing homes, public or private clinics, principal offices of physi- cian or dentist, provided no name plate exceeding one square foot in area is used. (5) Private clubs, lodges, fraternity and sorority houses, social and recrea- tional center buildings, except those whose chief activity is a service cus- tomarily carried on as a business. (6) Customary agricultural uses, except farms operated for the dispaaa.1 of refuse, garbage, offal, fur, and stock, farms. (7) Accessory buildings customarily incidental to any of above uses when located on the same lot. SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor, and legal publication.
