AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS
32 3A and 4 OF ORDINANCE NO.
37020 AS AMENDED, COMMONLY KNOWN .
AS TEE ZONING.ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the civil City of South Bend, Indiana,
that:
Section I: Sections 3, 3A and 4 of Ordinance No. 3702, as amended, and
commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana are
hereby amended by the addition of the following prohibition:
No tractor - trailer combination
vehicle or detached trailer in ex-
cess of two tons capacity may be
parked upon any land or premises
in Class "A ", Class "A -1" and Class
"B" residence districts in the City
of.South Bend.
Section II: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption, approval by the Mayor and legal publication,

Gentlemen:
The attached ordinance amending Sections 3, 3A,
and 4 of Ordinance No, 3702, was legally adver-
tised under date of April 11, 1955, and given
public hearing under date of April 21, 1955.
After due consideration the Commission found
that the benefits accruing to the community
far outweighed the inconvenience caused the
drivers of such trucks, and that the parking
of such facilities was completely incompatible
in a residential district. It was, therefore,
moved, seconded, and carried that the ordinance
be recommended favorably to the Common Council.
