An Ordinance Amending Ordinance #3702 Adopted by the Common Council on the 13th day of June, 1949. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that an ordinance #3702 adopted by this Common Council on the 13th day of June, 1949, more commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, be amended by rezoning a certain parcel of land located in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, known and described as follows, to -wit: Lots Numbered Fifty -two (52), Fifty -three (53), Fifty -four (54), and Fifty -five (55) as shown upon the recorded RePlat of Lots Numbered Seventeen (17), Eighteen (18), and Nineteen (19) and Subdivision of Out Lot A in Henry Leer's Sub, of the West part of Lot Four (4) in the partition of the Estate of Samuel Leer in Section Eighteen (18), Township Thirty -seven (37) North, Range Three (3) East, which said RePlat is dated September 5, 1918, and is recorded in the Recorder°ls Office of St. Joseph County, Indiana, in Plat Book 10, at page 75, and which said RePlat was made by Minnie Bimm and Eldora Moore and is sometimes known and referred to as Bimm and Moorets Addition to the Cith of South Bend, Indiana. from B- residence district and A- height and area district to C commercial and E- height and area district, and that said ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage and legal publication. HUFF DIRECTOR OF PLANNING The Honorable Common Council City of South Bend South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: The attached petition of Maurice G. Morey to rezone lots 52 through 55, as shown upon recorded plat of Lot No. 17 and Lot No. 19, of Henry'Leer's Subdivision of Lot No, 4, in the partitions of the estate of Samuel Leer, sometimes known as Bimm and Moore's Addition, generally located north of the New York Central Railroad between Eldora and Caroline Streets, was legally advertised under date of April 25, 1956. The public hearing was held under date of May 3, 1956, and the following action taken: After full consideration, the Commission found that the vicinity of subject property was predominantly commercially zoned, and to a lesser extent used residentially. The petitioners, Maurice G. Morey and Avis L. The petitioners state that they are the owners of the above described real estate. The petitioners further state that they have attached hereto a form of ordinance for the convenience, use, and approval of the Common Council of the City of South Bend.
