AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARIES OF
CERTAIN CITY OFFICIALS OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, EFFECTIVE JANUARY
1, 1956, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
THEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that:
Section 1: The annual salaries for the following City officials of the
City of South Bend, Indiana, be, and the same hereby are, fixed, to be
effective as of January 1, 1956, as follows, to —wit:
Mayor
City Controller
City Civil Engineer
City Attorney
City Clerk
City Judge
Members of the Common Council,
County Treasurer Ex Officio
City Treasurer

Section 2: The Mayor, City Attorney, City Engineer, City Controller and
City Clerk shall each receive from the funds of the Water Works Utility the
additional sum of $1200.00 per year. The City Engineer shall receive an
additional sum of $1000.00 per year as Supervisor of Sewage Disposal Plant.
Section 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict are hereby
repealed.
Section 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage by the Common Council and its approval by the Mayor.
