The June 3, 2014 Executive Session of the Council Rules Committee of the South Bend
Common Council was called to order by its Chairperson Dr. David Varner at 5:31 p.m. in the
Council's Informal Meeting Room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members Tim Scott, Henry Davis, Jr., Valerie
Schey, Dr. Fred Ferlic, Dr. David Varner, Oliver J. Davis, Gavin Ferlic, and Derek Dieter; and
Council Attorney Kathleen Cekanski - Farrand.
Dr. Varner stated that the Executive Session was called pursuant to the Notice dated May
29, 2013 (attached) which states in part that the meeting is being held pursuant to Indiana Code §
5- 14- 1.5 -6.1 (b)(6)(A) to continue the discussion of deliberative material with respect to a person
over whom the Council has jurisdiction concerning his alleged misconduct.
This is to certify that the only subject matter discussed at this Executive Session was that
contained in the May 29, 2014 "Notice of Executive Session ".
Dr. Varner adjourned the meeting at 6:10 p.m.
