ORDINANCE NO. &
AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING A CONTRACT BETYPEEN THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA A AND THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF ST..JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA FOR THE PURCHASE BY THE
CITY OF CERTAIN REAL ESTATE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the Civil City of South Bend,
Indiana:
SECTION I* That a certain contract entered into on the 30th day of
November, 1953 between the Board of Public Works and Safety of South Bend,
Indiana, and the Board of Commissioners of St. Joseph County, Indiana for
the purchase by the City of South Bend of.a tract of land and certain
rights of easement in the Northwest Quarter of Section 26, Township
No. 38 North, Range No. 2 East, for the use by said City as a site for
its proposed sewage treatment plant is hereby ratified and oonfirmed,
and the Board of Public Works and Safety of said City are hereby
authorized to accept deeds of conveyance and to pay for said lands
from the proceeds of bonds to be sold by the City for the construction
of its sewage disposal project, in accordance with the terms of said
contract*
SECTION II* This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and approval by the Mayor*
