CONTAINED THE SIGNATURE OF ONLY 50% OF THE PROPERTY OWNERS INSTEAD OF THE

51% PERCENT REQUIRED BY LAW. IN ORDER TO MAKE THE ANNEXATION PERFECTLY LEGAL
WITHOUT THE CHANCE OF LITIGATION, THE SECOND ORDINANCE WAS PASSED.

ORDINANCE NO. 4237 -58
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE
CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ODMMaN COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
Section is
That the following described property in St. Joseph County,
State of Indiana, is hereby annexed to and brought within the
City of South Bend, Indiana:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of the Southeast
Quarter.of Section 25, Township 37 North, Range 2 '
East, thence Squth along the. -East line of said
Section 251 a distance of 556.45 feet; thence West
12195 feet; thence North 556.45 feet to the East
and West center line of said Section 25 (center
line of Ireland Road); thence East along the center
line of Ireland Road a distance of 1,195 feet to
the place of beginning.
'Section 2:
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal publication.

The undersigned owners hereby petition your honorable body
to annex and bring within the City of South Bend,',Indiana,'the
following described real estate in St. Joseph County, State of
Indiana, which is contiguous to lands now within such City:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of the Southeast

East, thence South along, the East line of said
Section 25, a distance of 556.45 feet; thence West,
