AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 37021
AS AMENDED, WHICH ORDINANCE IS COMMONLY
KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 3702, as amended, which
ordinance is commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South
Bend, Indiana, be and the same hereby is amended in order that the zoning
classification of the following described real estate in the City of South
Bend, St. Joseph County, State of Indiana:
Lots numbered Forty -Five (45) and Forty -Six (46)
in Krou and Whitmore's Subdivision to the City
of South Bend.
be and the same hereby is changed from "A" Residential to "C -1" Commercia.
and "A" Height and Area District.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor
and legal publication.

Gentlemen:
July 14, 1958
The attached petition of Edward Heston to rezone Lots 45 and 46
of Krow and Whitmore's Subdivision, located at 2904 South Michigan
Street, from "A" Residential Use District and "A" Height and Area
District to "C" Commercial Use District and "D" Height and Area
District was legally advertised on 30 June 1958 and given public
hearing under date of 10 July 1958• The following action was
taken:
After due consideration the Commission found that
substantial justice would be done by the favorable
recommendation of the petition. It was therefore
duly moved, seconded and unanimously carried that
the petition be recommended favorably to the Common
Council.
