ORDINANCE NO. 4224.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE
NO. 3702, OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
Section 1•
That Zoning Ordinance No. 3702 be and the some is
hereby amended and supplemented by changing the zoning
classification of the following described property from
A Residential Use District to "C" Commercial Use District:
Lots Numbered Twenty-one (21), Twenty-two (22)
and Twenty-three-(23) Janowski's Sub of Lot
Numbered Nine (9) K 6c M Addition
Section 2:
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval by the Mayor and legal
publications.

Gentlemen:
April 10, 1958
The attached petition of Frank C. V /i=_niewski to zone from "A"
Residential Use District to "C" Commercial Use District and "A"
Height and Area District Lots 21, 22 and 23 of Janowski's Sub. of
Lot 9, K & Nr Addition, being three lots to the northeast of the
Betrand and Olive Streets intersection was legally advertised on
21, March 1958 and given public hearing under date of 3 April 1958.
The following action was taken:
The Commission found that substantial justice would be
done and that a logical extension of commercial zoning
would be accomplished by the favorable recommendation
of the petition. It was therefore duly moved, seconded
and unanimously carried that the petition be recommend-
ed favorably to the Common Council.

We, the undersigned, Frank C. Wisniewski, duly appointed
administrator of the estate of Josephine Wisniewski, Edwin A.
Wisniewski, remaining heir of Josephine Wisniewski, Stella Grzesk,
Portage Realty Corporation, by Earl L. Kime, Assistant Secretary,
respectfully petitions the Honorable Council to amend Ordinance 3702,
as it applies to the following described real estate, to -wit:
Lot Numbered Twenty -one (21) Janowski's Sub of
Lot Numbered Nine (9) K & M Addition
Lot Numbered Twenty -two (22) Janowski's Sub of
Lot Numbered Nine (9) K & M Addition
Lot Numbered Twenty -three (23) Janowski's Sub of
Lot Numbered Nine (9) K & M Addition
changing said described real estate from A- residential to C- Commercial,
A- height and area.
