ORDINANCEJ/� ANNEXING LANDS TO AND
DECLARING SAFE TO BE A PART-OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I.
That the following described territory and land in St. Joseph County,
State of Indiana, be and the same is hereby annexed to and declared to be a
part of the said City of South Bend, Indiana:
Beginning at a point at the intersection of the present city limits
line and the east right -of -way of Olive Street, which is 200 ft. south,
more or less, and 30 feet east of the NNI corner of the NE' of Sec. 22,
T37N, R2E, thence east along the present city limits line a distance
of 153 ft., more or less, to a point where the present city limits line
intersects the north right -of -way line of Prairie Avenue, thence south
westerly along the north right -of -way line of Prairie Avenue a distance
of 173 feet, more or less, to the intersection of the north right -of-
way line of Prairie Avenue and the east right -of -way line of Olive Street,
thence north along the east right -of -way line of Olive Street to the
place of beginning containing approximately .14 acres, more or less.
SECTION II:
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
enactment, approval by the Mayor, and legal publication.

Gentlemen:
The attached petition of Ervin Lodyga, 2337 Prairie Avenue, to
annex a triangular Diece of land contiguous to and south of the
city limits, east of Olive Street and north of Prairie Avenue was
legally advertised on 25 November 1957 and given public hearing
under date of 5 December 1957. The following action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found that public
welfare would best be served by the favorable recommendation
of the attached petition. If was therefore moved, seconded
and unanimously carried that the petition be recommended
favorably to the Common Council.
