AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702
COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I:
Ordinance No. 3702, being a zoning ordinance of the City of
South Bend, Indiana, be and the same hereby is amended so that the zoning
classification of the following real estate in the City of South Bend, In-
diana, to-wit:
Beginning at a point on the north line of the SET, Sec. 8 T.37N., R.3E.
131 feet west of the Northeast corner, thence west on said north line
of said Southeast Quarter a distance of 102 feet, more or less, thence
south parallel with the west line of 36th Street a distance of 212.5
feet, more or less, thence East 102 feet, more or less, to the North-
west corner of Lot 4 Logan Height's Addition (Unrecorded), thence north
to the place of beginning all within the city of South Bend, Indiana.
be rezoned from "A" Residential to "C" Commercial. and "A" Height and Area District.
SECTION 1I:
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, and after its ap-
proval by the Mayor of the City of South Bend and legal publication.

Gentlemen:
December 7, 1957
The attached ordinance originated by the City Planning Commission
to rezone property located on the south side of East Jefferson
Blvd., and immediately west of Lot I, Logan Heights Addition
(unrecorded) from "A" Residential to "C" Commercial and "A" Height
and Area District was legally advertised on 23 September 1957 and
given public hearing under date of 5 December 1957. The following
action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found that adoption
of the ordinance would be a logical extension of Commercial
zoning and that the area across the street therefrom and
east thereof is now used and zoned commercially. It was
therefore duly moved, seconded and unanimously carried
that the attached ordinance be recommended favorably to
the Common Council.
