AIi ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE INSPECTOR OF SUB - STANDARD BUILDINGS
AND DWELLINGS TO DEMOLISH AN UNSAFE BUILDING, AND APPROPRIATING $125.00
FOR SAME., FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO B261 Contractual Service.
WHEREAS, the frame building partially destroyed by fire lo-
cated on the rear of Lot U of Wenger and Kreighbaum °s Vistula
Avenue Addition to the City of South Bend and-located in the rear
of 1237 South Maigii Street and facing Brook Street and being owned
by one Mr. Frank Urednick has been determine&':to be an unsafe
building as defined in Ordinance 43989, and,
WHEREAS, the Inspector of Sub- standard Buildings and Dwel-
lings has determined that such unsafe conditions do exist, and,
WHEREAS, said Inspector has ordered demolition of the sub-
ject building, and,
WHEREAS, said order has not been executed as specified,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COPAA;ON COUNCIL OF THE CIVIL
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, THAT:
SECTION I. The Inspector of Sub - standard Buildings and Dwellings
is hereby authorized to demolish the frame building partially de-
stroyed by fire and located on the rear of Lot U of Wenger and
Kreighbaum's Vistula Avenue Addition to the City of South Bend and
owned by one Mr, Frank Urednick,
SECTION II. There shall hereby be appropriated from the general
fund the sum of one hundred and twenty -five dollars ($125,00 ),
to pay for the cost of said demolition and the City Controller
is hereby authorized to pay such cost upon presentation of ac-
curate cost details by the Inspector of Sub - standard Buildings
and Dwellings,
SECTION III. That the cost of demolition shall be recovered from
the owner in such a manner as deemed appropriate by the Legal Be-
partment of the City of South Bend, Indiana,
SECTION IV. This Ordinance shall be in full force and Effect
from and a ter its enactment, approval by,the Mayor and legal
publication, l
