Tickets are still available for the City- sponsored Country Music Festival to be held at Four Winds Field on Saturday, June 21. Country duo Big & Rich and artist Jo Dee Messina will headline the event. Tickets are $35 through June 20. Each ticket sold in advance will include a voucher for a Silver Hawks game ticket. At the door, tickets are $45. Tickets may be purchased at the O'Brien Recreation Center Administrative Offices, Monday- Friday, 8am- 4:30pm; South Bend Silver Hawks Box Office, Monday- Friday, 10am -5pm; or by calling 574 - 235 -9988. The Parks and Recreation Department is also gearing up for its many summer camps, activities, and classes for all ages. Kid's World Summer Day Camp still has openings available, and Elbel and Erskine Golf Courses are offering a special rate of $20 on the 20th of each month. The price includes the green fee and a cart. Also in June, Potawatomi Pool, Kennedy Water Playground, the East Race Waterway, Aqua Aerobics, Children's Learn -to -Swim, South Bend Swim Club and the Splash Pads open. Be sure to come check out the summer fun— and wear sunscreen. We are also preparing to celebrate the City's sesquicentennial in 2015. "South Bend 150" is a yearlong commemoration, beginning January 1, 2015, that will celebrate the city's past and chart its future. A variety of artistic, service and community- oriented events will be scheduled throughout the year to commemorate South Bend's 150th anniversary. Be sure to watch wwwSB150.com for a list of upcoming events. The City also reminds residents that we're in the final stages of a mandatory water meter exchange program and continues to attempt to contact residents who still need to have their meters replaced.
