ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDIN�Ti CE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702
COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
(REAL ESTATE INVOLVED LOCATED ON WILLIAMS
STREET, NAVARRE STREET and PORTAGE AVENUE)
BE IT ORDAINED, by the Common Council of the City of South Bend,
Indiana:
SECTION I. Ordinance No. 3702, being the Zoning Ordinance of the
City of South Bend, Indiana, be, and the same is, amended so that the zoning
classification of the real estate located in the City of South Bend, County of
St. Joseph, State of Indiana, described as follows, to-wit:
Lot Numbered Five (5) as shown on the recorded Plat
of Burrough's Subdivision of Bank Out Lot One Hundred
Fifteen (115) of the Third Plat of Out Lots to the Town,
now City of South Bend, together with the West one -half
(1/2) of the vacated alley lying East of and adjoining the
same, excepting therefrom that part of said lot taken for
the opening of Williams Street,
be, and the same is hereby changed from "B" Residential District to "C -1"
Commercial and "E" Height and Area District.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor and legal
publication.

The attached petition of Marjorie Drinski to rezone Lot
Number 5, as shown on the recorded Plat of Burrough °s
Subdivision of Bank Out Lot 115 of the Third Plat of
Out Lots of the Town, together with the west one -half
of the vacated alley lying east of and adjoining subject
lot, being generally described as the corner property
formed by the intersection of William Street, Navarre
Street, and Portage Avenue from IIBII Residential Use to
IIC -111 Commercial Use was legally advertised on April 25,
1960 and given public hearing under date of May 5, 1960.
The following action was taken:
After due consideration it was moved, seconded,
and unanimously carried that the petition be
recommended favorably to the Common Council.

Council, that she is the owner of the following described real estate in the
City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, to -wit:
