AN ORDINANCE FIXING COMPENSATION OF APPOI
OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE SOUTH BEND
WATER WORKS AND SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT

WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 107 of the Acts of
1959 of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana, the administrative
authority in the control of the operation of any utility or function shall set
the salaries of its officers and employees, and
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of November, 1959, the South Bend
Water Works Commissioners set the salaries for the Water Works- Commissioners.
at Twelve Hundred ($1200. 00) Dollars a year for each member beginning
January 1, 1960, therebeing three (3) members of said Board, and
WHEREAS, the Sewage Treatment Board set the salary of the
Engineer at One Thousand ($1, 000. 00) Dollars a year, and
WHEREAS, under said Acts the approval of the Common Council
is required for payment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of
the City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. That from and after the first day of January, 1960,
the salaries of the Board of Water Works Commissioners for the year 1960
shall be Twelve Hundred ($1200. 00) Dollars for each commissioner and further
the compensation for the Engineer in reference to services rendered the
Sewage Treatment Plant shall be One Thousand ($1, 000. OD) Dollars a year.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in force and effect from
and after its adoption by the Common Council of the Civil City of South Bend
and its approval by the Mayor. i
