AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: Section 1 That the following described property in St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, is hereby annexed to and brought within the City of South Bend, Indiana: Beginning at the intersection of the north line of the south half of the southeast one - quarter of Section 32, T38N7 R3E, and the centerline of Hickory Road, which point is on the present city limits, thence south along the centerline of Hickory Road a distance of 639.7 feet more or less, to the north right -of -way line of Bulla Street extended east, thence west along the north right- of -way line of Bulla Street a distance of 595 feet, more or less, to the west line of Edison Road Addition, also the present city limits, thence north along the present city limits a distance of 639.7 feet, more or less, to the north line of the south half of the south- east one - quarter of said Section 32, thence east along the north line of the south half of the southeast one- quarter of said Section 32 to the place of beginning, containing 8.7 acres, more or less. Section 2• That no Building Permit shall be issued by the Building Commissioner and no change in use or bulk of structures existing shall occur in any territory hereafter annexed to the City of South Bend, Indiana until such territory has been zoned by the City Council or a period of 180 days from the effective date of the annexation has lapsed. Section 3• This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal publication. 18162nd READ! BnacENT K OKROMKO W5K1 RICHARD 11111 MICLELLAN YNSKI ON ESTER RICHARD VAN PARIS WILLIAM WEBSTER WEST The attached petition of the Common Council to annex to the City of South Bend, Indiana 8.7 acres more or less, in the southeast one - quarter of Section 32, T38N, R3E, being generally described as being bounded on the east by the north line of Bulla Road and on the west and north by the present city limits was legally advertised under date of September 24, 1962 and given public hearing,on October 4, 1962. The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that in their opinion the six determinants of the annex- ation apply to the area in issue. It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that the petition be recommended favorably to the Council on the condition that no Building Permit shall be issued by the Building Commissioner and no change in use or bulk of structures existing, shall occur in any territory hereafter annexed to the City of South Bend, Indiana, until s2w h territory has been zoned by the City Council or aperiod of 180 days from the effective date of the annexation has lapsed.
