ORDINANCE NO. "319-
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE
CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
Section 1:
That the following described property in St. Joseph
County, State of Indiana, is-hereby annexed to and brought
within the City of South Bend, Indiana:
Beginning at a point on the east -west center-
line of Section 27, T38N, R2E, a distance of
1430.6 feet, more or less, east of the west
section line of said Section 27, thence north
660 feet, more or less, thence east 600 feet,
more or less, thence south 660 feet, more or
less, to the east -west centerline of said
Section 27, which line is also the present
city limits, thence west 600 feet, more or
less, to the place of beginning, containing
9.99 acres, more or less.
Section 2•
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal publica-
tion.

Gentlemen:
The attached petition of the Common Council to annex to
the City of South Bend, Indiana a parcel of land con-
taining 9.99 acres, more or less, in the Northwest One
Quarter of Section 27, T38N, R2E, and more commonly
known as the South Bend Police Pistol Range was legally
advertised. under date of January 23, 1962 and given
public hearing on February 1, 1962. The following
action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that the six determinants of annexation exist.
It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and
unanimously carried that the petition be recom-
mended. favorably to the Council,
