OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
AS AMENDED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA:
Section I:
That Section 23 of Ordinance No. 3702, (as amended),
commonly known as the ?oning Ordinance of the City of South
Bend, Indiana is hereby amended by the addition thereto of
the following:
(i) No Building Permit shall be issued by the Building
Commissioner and no change in use or bulk of
structures existing, shall occur in any territory
hereafter annexed to the City of South Bend, Ind.
until such territory has been zoned by the City
Council or a period of 180 days from the effective
date of the annexation has lapsed.
Section 2•
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its enactment, approval by the Tayor and legal
publication.

The attached proposed ordinance orginated by the City
Planning Commission to amend Section 23 of Ordinance No.
3702, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City
of South Bend., Indiana, by adding thereto the following
sub - section (i) No building permit shall be issued by
the Building Commissioner and no change in use or bulk
of structures existing, shall occur in any territory
hereafter annexed to the City of South Bend, Indiana,
until such territory has been zoned by the City Council
or a period of 180 days from the effective date of the
annexation has lapsed was legally advertised under date
of September 24, 1962 and given public hearing on October
4, 1962. The following action was taken:
After due consideration it was duly moved, seconded,
and unanimously carried that this ordinance be
recommended favorably for adoption by the Council.
