ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE
AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:

That Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore amended, be
and the same is hereby amended and supplemented by changing the
zoning classification of the following described property from
"C" Commercial Use and °E" Height and Area District to "B"
Residential Use and "A °Y Height and Area District:
Lots 19 and 20 of Evans Sub. of B.O.L. 88 and also Part of
State Bank 2nd Plat Outlots described as beginning at a point
on the south right -of -way line of Washington Street 576.33
feet, more or less, west of the west right -of -way line of
Laurel Street, thence south a distance of 144.5 feet, more or
less, thence east a distance of 173.85 feet, more or less,
thence north a distance of 144.5 feet, more or less, to the
south right -of -way line of Washington Street, thence west
along the south - right -of -way line of Washington Street a
distance of 173.85 feet, more or less, to the place of begi - -ing.
Section 2•
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal publication.

Gentlemen:
The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to
rezone from "C" Commercial Use and "E" Height and Area
District to "B" Residential and "A" Height and Area District
the property generally described as 1112, 1106, 1044 and
1032 W. Washington was legally advertised under date of
May 28, 1962 and given public hearing on June 7, 1962.
The following action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found that
existing zoning is spot zoning and therefore it was
duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that
the petition be recommended favorably to the Council.
