BELLINGER. ASST. OR. OF M N'111 Under date of June 14, 1962 the South Bend City Planning Commission took the following action relative to the proper zoning for the recently annexed land being generally described as a parcel of land on the west side of Ironwood Road 662 feet north and south by 290 feet east and west and lying 620 feet north of Edison Road; After due consideration the Commission found that due to the topography of the general area and the concurrent cost of filling, residential construction would be precluded and. that only commercial enterprise could justify said. cost of fill. The Commission also noted that the land immdiately to the east, to the north, and particularly to the south of subject area is zoned "C" Commercial. It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that said area be recom- mended to be zoned "C" Commercial Use.
