BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
Section 1•
That Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore amended and
supplemented, be and the same is hereby amended and supple-
mented by zoning as "C" Commercial Use and "A" Height and Area
District the following described property:
Beginning at a point on the east right -of -way line
of Ironwood Road 660 feet north of the south line of
the Southwest One Quarter, Section 32, T38N, R3E.
thence east a distance of 355 feet, more or less, -
thence north a distance of 660 feet, more or less,
thence west a distance of 355 feet, more or less,
to the east right -of -way line of Ironwood Road, thence
south along the east right -of -way line of Ironwood
Road a distance of 660 feet, more or less, to the
place of beginning.
Section 2:
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal
publication.

The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to
zone the recently annexed land being more generally de-
scribed as being a parcel of land on the east side of Iron-
wood. Road 660 feet north and south by 355 feet east and
west and lying 620 feet north of Edison Road "C" Commer-
cial Use and. "A" Height and. Area District was legally
advertised under date of February 19, 1962 and given
public hearing on March 1, 1962. The following action
was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that the property in question lies between
existing commercial zoning, that it was com-
mercially zoned in the County, that there is
an apparent need for additional commercial
zoning in the general area, and that the best
use of subject land. would. be commercial. It
was therefore duly moved, seconded, and unani-
mously carried that the petition be recom-
mended favorably to the Council.
