AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
Section 1:
That Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore amended
and supplemented, be and the same is hereby amended and supple-
mented by zoning as "C" Commercial Use and "A" Height and Area
District the following described property:
Beginning at a point in the Southeast One Quarter of
Section 31, T38N, R3E, at the intersection of the
west right -of -way line of Ironwood Road and the
southerly right -of -way line of South Bend Avenue
(Indiana 23), thence southwesterly along the southerly
right -of -way line of South Bend Avenue (Indiana 23)
to a point where said southerly right -of -way line
intersects the south lot line of Lot Number 8 in
Wolfe's South Bend Avenue Addition (proposed), thence
east along the south boundary line of Wolfe's South
Bend Avenue Addition (proposed) to the west right-
of -way line of Ironwood Road, thence north along
the west right -of -way line of Ironwood Road to the
place of beginning consisting of Lots Number 1 -8,
inclusive, of Wolfe's South Bend Avenue Addition
(proposed).
Section 2:
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal publica-
tion.

The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to
zone the recently annexed land being more generally de-
scribed as a triangular shaped parcel of land lying be-
tween South Bend Avenue on the north and west and Iron-
wood Road on the east "C" Commercial Use and "A" Height
and. Area District was legally advertised under date of
January 22, 1962 and given public hearing on February 1,
1962. The following action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that this is the most logical zoning for said
area and that substantial justice would be
done by the granting of the petition. It was
therefore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously
carried that the petition be recommended favor-
ably to the Council.
