AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE
AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
IND IANA :
Sect ion 1:
That Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore amended
and supplemented, be and the same is hereby amended and supplement
by zoning "Alt Residence District and "Att Height and Area District
the following described property:
Beginning at a point 1788.0 feet, more or less, East of
the West line of Section 30, Township 37 North, Range 3
East, on the North line of the South half of the South
half of said Section 30; thence East 2140.0 feet, more or
less, along the said North line of the South half of the
South half of said Section 30, to the Northeast corner of
the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Said
Section 30; thence South 1320 feet, more or less, along
the East line of the said Southwest Quarter of the South-
east Quarter to the South line of Section 30; thence
West 2146.0 feet, more or less, along the said South line
of Section 30, to a point 826 feet West of the South
Quarter Section corner; thence North 1320 feet, more or
less, to the place of beginning, containing 65 acres,
more or less.
Section 2:
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal publica-
tion.

The Honorable Common Council
City of South Bend
South Bend., Indiana
Gentlemen:
The attached petition of Place and Company, Inc, to zone
the recently annexed land being bounded on the north by
the present city limits or the south line of Scottsdale
Addition, on the east by a line 1,320 feet west of Iron-
wood Road, on the south by the centerline of Jackson
Road, and on the west by a line 1,788 feet east of Miami
Road, said parcel containing 65 acres, more or less,
"A" Residential Use and "A" Height and. Area District, was
legally advertised under date of December 23, 1961 and
given public hearing on January 4, 1962. The following
action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that single - family use of subject property
would. be its highest and best use and. that it
conforms with the plan for future land use.
It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and
unanimously carried that the petition be
recommended favorably to the Common Council.
