ORDINANCE NO. 4432 - - -62
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS
AMENDED, WHICH ORDINANCE IS COMMONLY CALLED
THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA, AS AMENDED
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend,
Indiana, that Ordinance No. 3702, as amended, which ordinance is
commonly called the zoning ordinance of the City of South Bend, be amended
as follows:
Section 1, That the following described real estate, located in
the City of South Bend, St, Joseph County, State of Indiana, shall be
rezoned as C- Commercial district and D- Height and Area district:
Lot Number Two (2) in Sorin First Addition to the
City of South Bend, excepting that part of the East
end of said Lot which is now zoned Commercial, and
also excepting fifty (50) feet east and west taken
off of the entire west side of said Lot Number Two
(2).
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the Mayor
of the City of South Bend, Indiana, and legal publication.

Under date of January 4, 1962 the Commission took the
following action in regards to your communication rela-
tive to amending the petition of Genevieve and Frederic
C. Winkler and Alfreda W. Walter to rezone the property
most generally known as 937 South Bend Avenue from "B"
Residential Use and "B" Height and Area District to "C"
Commercial Use and "D" Height and Area District, by ex-
cluding the west fifty feet of said property from the
petition area:
After due consideration the Commission unani-
mously voted to approve said amendment. There-
by, under the provisions of Chapter 174, Acts
of 1947, the ordinance stands as passed by the
Council, as of the date of the recording of the
Commission's report to the Council.
