AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS
IN THE STREET AND TRAFFIC FUND, $15, 000. 00
AND IN THE FAIR EMPLOYMENT PRACTICE COM-
MISSION, $155.42. , L24/ aj„�
WHEREAS: Certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the
adoption of the existing annual budget, so that it is now necessary to
appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget for
the various functions of City Government to meet such extraordinary
emergencies:
SECTION I. BE IT ORDAINED, by the Common Council of the City
of South Bend, Indiana, that for the expenses of the
City Government and its institutions for the year ending
December 31, 1962, the following sum of money is
hereby appropriated and set apart out of the funds
herein named and for the purpose herein specified, sub-
ject to the laws governing the same, and such sum
herein appropriated shall be held to include all ex-
penditures authorized to be made during the year,
unless otherwise expressly stipulated and provided
by law.
SECTION II. That for said fiscal year there is hereby appropriated
out of the various City Funds hereinafter named, the
following specified amounts to meet such extraordinary
emergencies, as follows:
STREET AND TRAFFIC FUND
Account No. S -422 - Salt $15,000.00
FAIR EMPLOYMENT PRACTICE COMMISSION
Account No. 251 - Repairs to Buildings $ 155.42
and structures
SECTION III. WHEREAS, -it has been shown that certain existing appro-
priations now have unobligated balances which will not
be needed for the purposes herein for which appropriated,
it is therefore, further ordained by the aforesaid Common
Council that such unnecessary existing appropriations are
now reduced in amounts as follows:
STREET AND TRAFFIC FUND
Account No. S -421 - Street and Alley $15,000.00

FAIR EMPLOYMENT PRACTICE COMMISSION
Account No. 725 - Office Equipment $ 155.42
SECTION IV. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage by the Common Council, its approval
by the Mayor and the fulfillment of all statutory require-
ments of emergency appropriations.
