AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 11A, SECTION 7 OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA, ADOPTED IN 1949, ALSO KNOWN AS ORDINANCE
NO. 3925, ARTICLE 1, SECTION 7.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. That Chapter 11A, Section 7 of the Municipal Code of
the City of South Bend, Indiana, adopted in 1949, also
known as Ordinance No. 3925, Article 1, Section 7, be
and the same hereby is amended to read as follows:
SECTION 7. It shall be unlawful to keep on the open premises, a
vehicle which is inoperable for a period of more than
30 days, and further to dump any garbage or household
rubbish or trash of any type,kind or nature, within the
city limits of the City of South Bend, except in such
areas as are designated by the board of public works and
safety of the City of South Bend as land -fill areas, and
upon such terms and regulations as may hereinafter be
provided for in this chapter, or which may be enacted
by the board of public works and safety.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by
the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements.
