BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: Section 1• That Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore amended and supplemented, be and the same is hereby amended and supple- mented by zoning as "A" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area District the following described property: Beginning at a point on the east right -of -way line of Lilac Road 613.38 feet, more or less, south of the south right -of -way line of Darden Road, which point is in the Southeast One Quarter of Section 22, T38Id, R2E, thence east a distance of 323.23 feet; more or less; thence south a distance of 196 feet; more or less; thence west a distance of 324.6 feet, more or less, to the east right -of -way line of Lilac Road, thence north a distance of 196 feet, ' more or less, to the place of beginning containing 1.4 acres, more or less. Section 2: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal publication. Of ruxxme The attached proposed ordinance originated by the City Planning Commission to zone "A" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area District the recently annexed land being generally described as 1.4 acres fronting on the east side of Lilac Road and being 613 feet south of Darden Road was legally advertised under date of May 28, 1962 and given public hearing on June 14, 1962. The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that the best zoning for the area in question would be residential.
