C airman June 11, 1962 `yn f r; J CITY OF SOUTH BEND '45o, ?yeti SOUTH BEND, INDIANA W;;" May 11, 1962 865' FRANK J. BRUGGNER MAYOR To the Honorable Members of the Common Council of the City of South Bend Gentlemen: I have today requested the Board of Public Works and Safety to do all things necessary to alleviate the damage created by the recent wind storm emergency which occurred on April 30th. As you know, the ravages and damages of this wind storm caused a large number of trees, located in the parkways, to be destroyed and damaged. It is therefore necessary that we take immediate steps for the removal of all tree stumps from the parkways at the cost of the Civil City and the Park Department. I have, therefore, requested that an Ordinance be introduced at your meeting on Monday, May 14, 1962 making certain funds available for this emergency. I respectfully request that your Council fulfill this possibility by approving the transfer. FJB/ab Respectfully submitted, Frank J. ru ner, May r
