AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 37029 AS HERETOFORE
AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
Section 1:
That Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore amended and
supplemented, be and the same is hereby amended and supple-
mented by zoning as "E" Heavy Industrial Use and "F" Height
and Area District the following described property:
Beginning at a point on the east right -of -way line
of Maple Road at the intersection of the north line
of the Southwest One Quarter of Section 27, thence
east along the north line of the Southwest One
Quarter of said Section 27, for a distance of 640
feet, more or less, thence south a distance of 330
feet more or less, thence west parallel with the
north line'of the Southwest One Quarter of the said
Section 27, for a distance of 640 feet, more or less,
to a'point on the east right -of -way line of Maple
Road, thence north along the east right -of -way line
of Maple Road a distance of 330 feet, more or'less,
to the place of beginning, containing 5 acres, more
or less.
Section 2•
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal publica-
tion.

The attached. proposed ordinance originated by the City
Planning Commission to zone "E" Heavy Industrial Use
and 'IF" Height and Area District the recently annexed .
land being generally described as a parcel of land 640
feet east and west by 330 feet north and south bounded
on the west by Maple Road and on the north by the east -
west centerline of Section 27, T38N, R2E, also the present
city limits, was legally advertised under date of April 23,
1962 and. given public hearing on May 3, 1962. The fol-
lowing action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that the proposed zoning would be the most
logical zoning for the property in question
and that substantial justice would be done by
the granting of the petition. It was therefore
duly moved, seconded., and unanimously carried
that the petition be recommended favorably to
the Council.
