ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE
AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND
INDIANA:
Section 1•
That Zoning ordinance No. 37025 as heretofore amended and
supplemented, be and the same is hereby amended and supplemented
by zoning the following described property as "A" Residence
District and "A" Height and Area District:
Beginning at a point 350 feet South of the Northeast
corner of the Southeast Quarter of Section 25, Township 37
North, Range 2 East; thence West 450 feet parallel to the
North line of the said Southeast Quarter; thence North 119.55
feet parallel to the East line of the said Southeast Quarter;
thence West 286.3 feet parallel to the North line of the said
Southeast Quarter; thence North 230.45 feet parallel to the
East line of the said Southeast Quarter to the North line of
the said Southeast Quarter; thence West 458.7 feet along
said North line of the said Southeast Quarter; thence South
556.45 feet parallel to the said East line of the said South-
east Quarter; thence East 1195 feet parallel to the said
North line of the said Southeast Quarter to the East line
of the said Southeast Quarter; thence North 206.45 feet along
said East line of the said Southeast corner to place.of
beginning;
Section 2-
That Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore amended and
supplemented, be and the same is hereby amended and supplemented
by zoning the following described property as "B" Residence
District and "A" Height and Area District:
Beginning at a point on the North line of the Southeast
Quarter 450 feet West of the Northeast corner of Section 25,
Township 37 North, Range 2 East; thence West 286.3 feet along
said North line; thence South 230.45 feet parallel to the
East line of the said Southeast Quarter; thence East 286.3
feet parallel to said North line of the said Southeast Qua
thence North 230.45 feet parallel to the said East line of
the Southeast Quarter to place of beginning.
Section 3:
That Zoning ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore amended and
supplemented, be and the same is hereby amended and supplemented
by zoning the following described property as "C" Commercial
District and "A" Height and Area District:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of the Southeast
Quarter of Section 25, Township 37 North, Range 2 East;
thence west 450 feet along the North line of the Southeast
Quarter; thence South 350 feet parallel to the East line of
the Southeast Quarter; thence East 450 feet parallel to the
said North line of the said Southeast Quarter to the East
line of the said Southeast Quarter; thence North 350 feet
along said East line of the Southeast Quarter to place of
beginning.
Section 4-
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal publication.

HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED, (Southwest corner of Miami and
Ireland Roads),
Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion

Gentlemen:
The attached petition of Place and Company, Inc., et al,
to zone "A" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area Dis-
trict the recently annexed property being generally de-
scribed as a parcel of land 1,195 feet east and west by
556.45 feet north and south at the southwest corner of
Ireland and Miami Roads excepting therefrom the following:.
To be zoned "C" Commercial Use and "A" Height and Area
District the property generally described as a parcel of
land 450 feet east and west by 350 feet north and south
at the southwest corner of Ireland and Miami Roads; and
also to be zoned "B" Residential Use and "A" Height and
Area District the property generally described as a par-
cel of land 286.3 feet east and west by 230.45 feet north
and south bounded on the north by Ireland Road and. lying
450 feet west of Miami Road was legally advertised under
date of April 23, 1962 and given public hearing on May
3, 1962. The following action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that the proposed zoning would be the most
logical for the area involved and that sub-
stantial justice would be done by the granting
of the petition. It was therefore duly moved,
seconded., and carried (one member abstaining)
that the petition be recommended favorably to
the Council.
